El fin de semana ante pasado nos fuimos a aprender a surfear. Un muuuy buen amigo nuevo (fan de WOOHOO! ) y yo nos fuimos al puerto a recibir mi primera clase de surf, y para él también la primera (aunque él diría que es la segunda por que es “disque autodidácta” ), la primera clase teórica, “formal” para los dos. El destino era “El Paredón”, con unas cuantas direcciones y confundiéndonos un poco llegamos al destino, donde teníamos que agarrar una lanchita para llegar al “El Rancho”, llegamos y nos juntamos con don Alvaro Cruz, que es fundador de la ASOSURF. Nos llevó al puesto de salvavidas donde tenía una tabla gigante, ya casi que lancha parecía. Yo con mi outfit de surfera wannabe, un mi rash, no sabía ni que era eso hace dos semanas, shorts y pelo de “surf chick” (colocho al aire libre), y mi amigo parecía Ruso importado de baywatch. Nos sentamos en unos tronquitos a recibir un poco de historia de surf, lo cual está bien para cultura general, pero solo un poquito por favor. Al fin, nos fuimos a la arena, recomiendo chancletas cómodas que no lastimen los dedos y no dejarlas por que la arena quema! Aprendimos sobre la arena a como pararnos en 3 pasos, y ver si sos goofy o (se me olvidó el otro nombre), si te apoyas con la pierna izquierda o derecha. Luego al mar, primero fue él y luego yo, un mar muy bravo y nos dejó hacer muy poco la verdad, los dos nos pudimos parar aunque sea unos mini segundos… en lo personal me quedé picadísima, seguro regreso a seguir practicando hasta pueda dominar esas olas y ser surfer de verdad! Es una actividad tan sana, al aire libre, extrema, low cost… que cualquiera lo puede hacer! Se los recomiendo muchísimo…! We went to the lifeguard station where he had a giant table, and seemed almost like a boat. Finally, we went to the arena, I recommend comfortable sandals that do not hurt your fingers and not letting them burn on the sand!
